The reason why I liked the XMB was because of it's minimalistic look, the appeal was classy and slick kinda like a good scotch where all you need is an ice cube to enjoy it's rich flavour... Now after update 3.0 I get the feeling like I'm drinking a cheap vodka mixed with pulpy orange juice in a plastic cup.

besides the themes and the audio (which are the most important part anyways) the rest of the update was joke...

the friends list is pretty ugly and I'm still trying to find a way to get rid of the info bar.
does anyone know how to shut off the info bar?
I live in Ontario and my options are limited and for my area of the city I'm at the end of the circuit for DSL (our connection starts downtown and ends with my neighborhood,) so unless they pump some money and upgrade our area I'll always have a crappy speed.
I rewired my house with new CAT3 and CAT5 wire and had the guys come down to check our capacity but were maxed out, they tried to up it but it but it was affecting out phone and the internet would disconnect.
cool, this gives me one more reason to cancel Sympatico DSL and go with Cogeco cable!!
